Toronto area songwriter, Chase Stevens is recognized for his heartfelt lyrics and strong visual imagery. A style that is a blend of New Country and Singer Songwriter or as he likes to call it, Troubadour Country.

​

His initial musical inspirations came from the songwriter era, people such as Jim Croce, Harry Chapin, and Cat Stevens among others before he moved toward the Country genre after hearing the music of Keith Urban. A subsequent trip to Nashville to explore the songwriting scene, cemented his musical direction.

​

Currently working on songs for his 3rd album, after the release of “Trespassing Castles” in 2022, which yielded several singles including “Another Little Roadside Kiss”, “Gypsy Wind”, and “Taking Pictures off the Wall”. All of which reached #1 on the Canadian Indie Country Chart.

​

“Another Little Roadside Kiss” won Best Country Song in 2021 and Best Video in 2022 at the Red Carpet Music Awards in Holland. He received 2 awards in 2023, “Songwriter of the Year” in his hometown of Mississauga as well as “International Single of the Year” for “Gypsy Wind” at the ISSA Awards in Atlanta, Georgia.

“Trespassing Castles” was the follow-up to his first album, “Tumbleweed”, that contained the critically acclaimed song “H.W.R.”, based on the true story of a WWII Canadian Soldier. The song and story were the subject of 2 CTV National News features as well as in the Mississauga News.

 

“Songs In An Old Diner” is the follow-up to “As Good As It Gets”, that was released late last Summer, and is still receiving radio airplay. “Songs In An Old Diner”, recorded in Nashville and Toronto is a spirited trip down memory lane that is sure to get people moving.

 

​​No stranger to the performing circuit, Chase was a featured performer in the 2021 "Love Revolution" as well as the "Soundcheck" festival in 2021 and 2022. This past September he performed at the Diamonds In The Rough showcase during the CCMA week. For the past 5 years he has co-hosted the "Above the 44th Songwriter Series" playing alongside some of Ontario's best Country artists including, Elyse Saunders, David Boyd Janes, Josh Ross among many others. He has also been a featured performer at the famed "Commodore" in Nashville.

​

​His newest release, "Holes In The Night", just might be his best one yet.

Chase has been honoured with numerous nominations and awards for his music including "Songwriter of the Year 2023" at the Mississauga Music Awards and  "International Male Single of the Year" at the 2023 ISSA Awards in Atlanta. Chase was also 1 of 4 Finalists in Mississauga's MARTY Awards for "Established Solo Vocalist" in 2022.

 

His 2020 summer song, "Breathe in the Summertime" won the Yangaroo Music "Indie Spotlight Song Contest".

​

Several of his tunes have reached #1 on the Canadian Indie  and True North Country Charts, as well as in Ireland. Both "Gypsy Wind" and "Taking Pictures off the Wall" made it onto the Top 100 of 2022 on the Canadian Indie Country Countdown. 

​

In 2021 he won "Best Country Song" in the Red Carpet Awards from Holland for his song "Another Little Roadside Kiss".
