Chase Stevens
Chase Stevens is an award winning singer/songwriter from Mississauga, Ontario. Recognized for his heartfelt lyrics and visual imagery, Chase says his songwriting style is a blend of New Country and Singer/Songwriter, or as he likes to call it “Troubadour Country”.
His initial musical inspirations came from the songwriters of the 1970’s, people such as Jim Croce, Harry Chapin, and Cat Stevens among others before he moved toward the Country genre after hearing the music of Keith Urban. A subsequent trip to Nashville to explore the songwriting scene, cemented his musical direction.
Currently working on songs for his 3rd album, after the release of “Trespassing Castles” in 2022, which yielded several singles including “Another Little Roadside Kiss”, “Gypsy Wind”, and “Taking Pictures off the Wall”. All of which reached #1 on the Canadian Indie Country Chart.
“Another Little Roadside Kiss” won Best Country Song in 2021 and Best Video in 2022 at the Red Carpet Music Awards in Holland. He received 2 awards in 2023, “Songwriter of the Year” in his hometown of Mississauga as well as “International Single of the Year” for “Gypsy Wind” at the ISSA Awards in Atlanta, Georgia.
“Trespassing Castles” was the follow-up to his first album, “Tumbleweed”, that contained the critically acclaimed song “H.W.R.”, based on the true story of a WWII Canadian Soldier. The song and story were the subject of 2 CTV National News features as well as in the Mississauga News.
His upcoming album is called "Time" and will include “As Good As It Gets” which was the first single from the album. Recorded in Nashville and Toronto. The song was well received by radio having been played on over 100 stations worldwide. The 2nd release was “Songs In An Old Diner”, an upbeat, nostalgic tune that hit #1 on the Canadian Indie Country Chart, marking his fifth number one on the chart.
Chase continues to record his music in Nashville and Toronto. He says, "I have been recording with the same group of session players in Nashville for over 10 years. Not only are they incredible players but their intuition to capture what I am going for is amazing. And I have a wonderful studio close to home where I do my guitar and vocals".
